Retreading in the best sense

An oldy but a goody. There's big news on the horizon, some old friends are coming back and some new friends have threatened to bring some hotdish over a little later on. If you're lucky it'll have tater tots in it.

Be cool like me!

That's right, I've got my very own kick-ass brand spankin' new copy of the soon to be legendary Learn to Draw by Joe-Mammy.com fave, John Lurie.

Yes sirree, I'm not sure what to do with my new-found extra rockingness. In fact, I'm so happy that I want to share the joys of instant social brilliance with all of you. You can pick up your copy of Learn to Draw at the Joe-Mammy.com Shop. In the meantime, feel free to bask in the light of my niftiness.

Be the coolest kid on your block!

After many delays, John Lurie's long awaited book "Learn to Draw" is finally available. Pick up a copy for yourself and someone you love (and if they love you more, they'll get you one first).

And, because I can't resist, here's a clip from "Fishing with John"

Happy February

First post of the ultra short month. There's some news on the horizon, but until that magical time presents itself let me say I was happy to see Tony Dungy finally get the ring he deserved. It's been said over and over, but if there were more guys in the world like Dungy (not just in the sports world) it would be a better world. Anyway, here's a little gem from Mike Knott from back in the day.

My head hurts and my chest is hollow.
