nnnnnngaaaaaaaaah

That's the sound my body is making to itself. I can be a bit of a hypochondriac from time to time, but this is feeling like a touch of the flu. Combine that with a bit of personal frustration and yeah, I ain't doin' cartwheels or nothin'.

Anyway, I'm curling up the couch, trying to protect my space from the Devil Pups and flipping through three hundred channels of crap. Rollergirls anyone?

Here's a little something to amuse yourself with in the meantime.

D'oh!

So, as you may have noticed, the ol' website is having a bit of indigestion today. Don't know when everything will be up to snuff. The powers that be promise "ASAP" but possibility being a nebulous kind of standard, I dare not speculate.

But, here's something that made me laugh.

Scenes from a childhood

You know, I'm not one to brag on my (aging) generation too much, but say what you will, I don't see the kids looking back fondly and thinking "Gosh, that Barney song kicked some ass" or "You know, I was just grooving to that old Teletubbies jam" so, thanks to the folks at Transbuddha, here is the classic "12" thing from Sesame Street uncut.

It's funky fresh, baby.

Scribble Art!

Here's a little something I did thinking of all of you. I'm particularly proud of the board with a nail in it. Whee!

Anyway, nothing much going on here at the moment, but surprises abound.

Good times.

Brief reflections on the reality template

This picture just makes me smile in an ultra-cheesey kinda stadium rock guilty pleasure sorta way. Kickin' back after a busy day. I'm not saying too much aside from I'm always working to find the best and brightest of future Features for y'all as well and that there might be a new NEP track showing up sometime.

That and I don't care what anyone says, the only possible way of saving reality television is one name: Dog.

And amusing side: the Chad coined a new phrase in anticipation for Underworld: Evolution: Beckinsalicious. And was it ever. Ouch.

New Look Joe

Ok, so I thought it was time to make a couple changes. Feel free to weigh in on the new look, but if you don't like it, well, I'm not likely to be sympathetic.

I'm kinda a bastard that way.

You know, some toys might seem like great ideas for the rugrats, but please, please think your gift choices through thoroughly.

Woo-hoo!

We here at Joe-Mammy.com just want to send a special congratulations to the fetching Ms Kari Byron for her appearance on the Late Show with David Letterman tonight!

If you missed it, well, you're a schmuck, but never fear, the internet being what it is, I'm sure it'll show up somewhere (but not here because Joe doesn't like being sued by big companies) so watch for it.

Carry on

I'm going to bed.

Okay, they've been running out of steam, but this latest trailer is amusing enough to check out.

Oh, and don't forget to watch Kari tonight on Letterman. You'll be glad you did.

Welcome back to the Doldrums

Well, the momentum hangover from the whole holiday bum rush thing is upon us. And by "us" I mean "me." That's not to say that nothing's going on. No siree. There are Features in the works (and if you haven't checked the previous ones out, you're missing out, chief...)

And there is no shortage of potential drama down here in Mammyland, but take heart everyone, your faithful Joe shall carry on.

Anyway, here's a little animated bit o' something to tide you over for now.

Finger on the pulse

So, I saw IMDB was having a little poll and I jumped on it early (there were less than 20 votes when I put my two cents in) and, I'm proud to say, it seems that I have been the vanguard once again.

The IMDB Worst of '05 List can be found here (for up to date results) but as of now, here are my picks:
Worst Picture: Alone in the Dark (my vote, was unranked before I submitted it, #1 now)
Worst Actor: Ice Cube - XXX: State of the Union (still unranked, c'mon people, it was terrible!)
Worst Actress: Tara Reid - Alone in the Dark (my vote, unranked before I submitted, now also #1)
Worst Supporting Actor: The Rock - Be Cool (still unranked, see comments for "Worst Actor")
Worst Supporting Actress: Paris Hilton - House of Wax (unranked, #1 now by a wide margin. Who's yer daddy?)
Worst Director: Uwe Boll - Alone in the Dark (unranked before submitted, #1 now. Hail to the king, baby...)
Worst Screenplay: Son of the Mask (still unranked, but then again, I may have been only one of the twelve or so people who actually saw that movie...)

I didn't vote on the rest, but so far, I kinda own dontchya think?
