Drama from Joe

Scene from my day:

cast:
Little neighbor kid
Me

setting, me walking up to my house after running out briefly to pick up some goodies (more on that in a moment)

Little Neighbor Kid:
What are you doing?

Me:
Going home.

Little Neighbor Kid:
Why?

Me:
Um, because it's my house.

Little Neighbor Kid:
Why?

Me:
Um, because I sleep there.

Little Neighbor Kid:
(pauses) That's not much of a reason.

Ah, kids. So charmingly surreal. Anyway, went out today and got the new Sigur Ros and the new Evil Dead game (both of which are pretty kick ass thus far, but I have to dig on both before I feel comfortable making a final judgment).

Have you checked out the John Lurie interview yet? If not, you should, it's good stuff Maynard, definitely worth the time. Not much here. Other than, of course you're less than a week away from the absofreakinglutely amazing and oft-delayed release of the debut album by the NEP, lilies of the field.

Let the countdown begin...

Not much here. Workin' and payin' bills that's about it. Trying to get stuff lined up and in the works, always busy. Can't complain. And woo-hoo, steaks on Mikey!

So I trust Mary is ok? What else is up wit' you, homie?

yeah nothing much as usual. work xbox sleep. ive been playing crimson skies. i dont know what to think. nice graphics anyways. yea mary she's alright. nothing ever hits her hard. i know i try!?!? insert noose now. half life 2 shall be released in october or november i cant remember. might be fun. reds and yanks are going at it. did you hear what Bonds said about all this steroid use?. actually rather good if i say so myself. He basically told people that theres more things to worry about then whats going on in the MLB. maybe you can find exactly what he said. i think hes right. Hey, its there life and im not in control of it. it never stops just right there. i can see both sides. in fact im going to go see the other side of my pillow right now. ta-ta

Yeah, but I have a hard time taking anything Barry Bonds says too seriously. On some level he's right, the Congressional inquiry was a load of crap, bur Barry is so dirty it's not even funny and he's using it as an opportunity to say "I cheated but it doesn't matter because the universe is all about Barry."

Funniest thing about Barry, he's going to be working to "take some weight off" so he can get skinny like he was his rookie year. Of course that kind of thing can just naturally happen when you're no longer pumping steroids in your system. MLB starts testing and suddenly Barry decides he needs to lose some weight. How 'bout that?

Anyway, that's my mini "I Hate Barry Bonds" rant for tonight. Good to hear Mary is ok. You should check out the new Evil Dead game, only $20 and it's a good time. 'Specially if you like hearing Bruce Campbell mouth off...

actually i was going to rent the game last night but decided to try halo 2 on the hardest level. madden 2006 im trying out as well. im not very good. might go back with holyfield. i like that game alot its way too addictive for my tatses but i enjoy it. fight night 2 that is. ive been playing zelda link to the past. now that game is well worth it.
well, bonds may be bonds but at least it wasnt as bad as rafeal's line. "it could have been a b-12 vitamin". ok thats as good as clinton saying i tried it but didnt inhale.

It's almost cheaper to just buy it. Twenty bucks, hard to argue with that. I don't buy games often, too expensive anymore unless you get 'em used, then they're just expensive.

Yeah, I loved how Raffy's first move was to try and roll on his teammate. I think it's fair to say he's played his last major league game cuz the O's aren't gonna want him back and no one in their right mind is going to want a guy in the clubhouse that no one trusts. The Onion had a nice little piece in their new sports section. Worth checking out, it was amusing.

Anyway, that's about it from here. Work and planning/assembling/waiting. It's a blast...

Hardly seems worth picking up a hack chip for a system that's going to be a generation behind in a couple months. *shrugs* Who knows?

As for the CD, the finished version (including one song I dont' think you have) is now available at the Joe-Mammy.com Shop Glad you dig it. I tend to think it's pretty groovy myself.

I liked Sin City quite a bit. Dark, funny, visually really cool and Jessica Alba's purty (actually, I can't think of an ugly chick in that whole movie...)

Never got into the Tom Clancy games--too much creeping around, not enough raw carnage. I'm pretty shallow--I likes me the blood and guts. Sitting and hiding and waiting doesn't seem all that exciting to me.

Anyway, I could be in St Louis right now, watching the game from a luxury suite, but instead I got a job. Hopefully something will come through so the Joe Mammy experience will dominate the world... or you know, cover my expenses more effectively.

first of all how can you sit in st lewis in a luxury suite when you aint working? where did you land a job at?
secondly, i work every damn night i pay all my flippin A bills and meegley await the next 2 weeks for my paycheck. what in joesph J jezebits am i doing wrong? it all could be worse for us right now my friend. we could be like My wife who just left to go to the denist to have a root canal. which just put me behind 100 bucks. whats the point of having great benefits if you aint got the cash to pay for the bill. all i can say right now is !$#@!!@# me i cant win.

I'm a-workin'. And besides, membership has its privledges. I was one of the chosen few, brother, and got the invite. Instead I think they gave my seat away in a contest *sighs* at least someone got to enjoy it.

And you ain't doin' nothing wrong, just everything else that's screwed up. As a wise man once said "Ain't no way to dress up an ugly dog..."

Woof woof, baby, woof woof.

Seriously though another Rocky movie? Stallone is seriously about as old as my dad. A new Rocky movie starring my dad might be kinda funny, actually, but that's because my dad can enunciate his words. And don't be dissing the Clubber Lang. Mr T was da bomb, yo. 4th blew ass, though, Rocky fights the steroid using Russians. Irony anyone?

Remember yet?

How 'bout now?

Now?

Damn.
